More Disruptions On The 7 Line

Service on the 7 line between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square- 42nd Street is scheduled to be suspended this weekend, from 11:45 p.m. Friday night, Oct. 26, until 5 a.m. Monday morning, Oct. 29. This service change will also be in effect between 11:45 p.m. Monday and 5 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30.

During this period, 7 trains will operate between Queensboro Plaza and Flushing-Main Street. It was noted that Q trains will be extended to the Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard station on Saturday from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.

For service between Queens and Manhattan, transfer to the N or Q trains at Queensboro Plaza or Times Square-42nd Street or the E train at Roosevelt Avenue or Times Square- 42nd Street.

Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service to 7 train stations in Long Island City between the Queensboro Plaza and Vernon Boulevard- Jackson Avenue stations. These buses will also stop at Queens Plaza for connections to the E and R trains.

The shuttle buses will stop as follows:

• Queensboro Plaza—on Queens Plaza South at 27th Street;

• Queens Plaza—on Jackson Avenue at Queens Plaza South;

• Court Square-23rd Street—on 44th Drive at 23rd Street (to Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue) or on 23rd Street at 44th Drive (to Queensboro Plaza);

• Hunters Point Avenue—on 21st Street at 49th Avenue; and

• Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue— on Vernon Boulevard at 50th Avenue.

Subway Changes

The MTA has scheduled a number of service changes for several subway lines throughout the city due to con- struction work.

These service advisories are current as of Wednesday, Oct. 24. Last minute changes to service and operating schedules may be made due to weather-related conditions or emergency repairs. Check www.mta.info for schedule changes.

Rail lines which run through the area that will be affected include the following:

Express Service On J Line In Brooklyn

Jamaica Center-bound J trains will run express service between Myrtle Avenue- Broadway and Broadway Junction on Thursday, Oct. 25, Friday, Oct. 26, and Monday, Oct. 29, through Friday, Nov. 2, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. This service change will also be in effect during the same time periods between Nov. 5 and Nov. 9.

For service to the Kosciuszko Street, Gates Avenue, Halsey Street and Chauncey Street stations, take the J train to Broadway Junction, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound J train. For service from these stations, take the J train to Myrtle Avenue-Broadway, then transfer to a Jamaica Center bound J train.

No Weekend J Trains Bet. Bk., Manhattan

There will be no J train service between Hewes Street in Williamsburg and Essex Street in Manhattan on Saturday, Oct. 27, and Sunday, Oct. 28, from 5:45 a.m. until 8 p.m. During these periods, J trains will operate in two sections: between Jamaica Center and Hewes Street and between Essex Street and Chambers Street (every 15 minutes).

Shuttle buses will replace J train service between Hewes Street and Essex Street, stopping at Marcy Avenue along the way. The shuttle bus stop locations are as follows:

• Hewes Street—on Broadway at Hooper Street;

• Marcy Avenue—on Broadway at Marcy Avenue; and

• Essex Street—on Delancey Street at Essex Street.

Some L Trains Run Short In Bushwick

Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues will be the last stop for select Rockaway Parkway-bound L trains on Thursday, Oct. 25, Friday, Oct. 26, and Monday, Oct. 29, through Friday, Nov. 2 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. This service change will also be in effect during the same time periods between Nov. 5 and Nov. 9.

Riders can transfer between L trains at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues to continue their trip. It was noted that L trains running between Myrtle- Wyckoff Avenues and Rockaway Parkway will operate every 12 minutes. Plan all trips accordingly.

Knick. Ave M Stop Closed For Repairs

The Knickerbocker Avenue station on the M line is closed at all times until early 2013 as the MTA conducts repairs.

Riders are advised to use the nearby Central Avenue and Myrtle- Wyckoff Avenues stations as alternates. The B54 bus provides connecting service between Knickerbocker Avenue and the two stations.

During overnight hours, shuttle buses will provide additional service along the B54 route between Myrtle- Wyckoff Avenues and Myrtle Avenue- Broadway, stopping at the Knickerbocker Avenue and Central Avenue stations.
