Man, 45, dies after car hits him in Flushing

FLUSHING — A 45-year-old man was struck and killed over the weekend on 41st Avenue in Flushing, the NYPD said.

According to police, officers responded to a 911 call around 11:20 p.m. Friday of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at the intersection of 41st Avenue and Union Street within the 109th Precinct.

Officers found that a black BMW Sedan traveling eastbound on 41st Avenue had struck Dante Dominguez, 45, near the intersection and then fled eastbound on the same road, the NYPD said.

Dominguez was taken to New York Hospital Queens, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, police said. No arrests have been made and the investigation was ongoing, the NYPD said.
