Two people were injured after a one-alarm blaze broke out in a Glendale home last Saturday, Oct. 27, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the blaze ignited at around 10:20 p.m. on the first-floor of a home on 79th Street near Myrtle Avenue. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 286, 319, 293 and 294; Ladder companies 135, 143 and 140; Rescue 4; Squad Co. 288 and Battalions 39 and 46-under the direction of Division 13-along with the 104th Precinct and EMS units. The victims were brought to a local hospital for treatment of injuries which were not lifethreatening. One hose line was used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control, an FDNY source said.
