ELMHURST — An Elmhurst has been charged with raping a 29-year-old woman after he allegedly pushed his way into her Manhattan apartment complex at West 15th Street near 6th Avenue, authorities said.
Juan Martinez, 33, who lives at 42nd Avenue near 95th Street, allegedly attacked the victim Sept. 28 at 4 a.m., police said. A criminal complaint from the Manhattan district attorney’s office said Martinez allegedly raped the woman vaginally, anally and orally.
Martinez was arrested Nov. 26 at 11:30 p.m. and charged with rape and criminal sex act, the DA said.
City Department of Correction records say Martinez, who is Mexican, is being held at Rikers Island on $5,000 bail and had an outstanding warrant related to immigration.
