LITTLE NECK — A man from Jericho, L.I., was struck and killed while walking along the Long Island Expressway over the weekend, police said.
According to the New York Police Department, Jordan Savvides, 22, was struck while walking along the expressway near Little Neck Parkway, resulting in severe body trauma. Emergency responders pronounced the man dead on arrival, police said.
Upon further investigation, police said the man was struck and killed by an eastbound car operated by 69-year-old Christian Ludlow, of Great Neck, L.I., who was taken into custody and arrested on charges of vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.
