Armstrong’s bronze medal evoked after doping admission on Oprah

His record just got weaker.

Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong must fork over the bronze medal he won at the 2000 Olympics Games in Sydney, an International Olympic Committee spokesperson said today.

This comes hours before the first of a two-part interview between Armstrong and Oprah Winfrey, in which it’s been said the cyclist will admit to doping and then lying about it.

Armstrong won seven Tour de France titles between 1999 and 2005; the International Cycling Union revoked the titles last October, however, when Armstrong was found to have used performance enhancing drugs during the competitions. Armstrong denied the allegations practically right until the interview with Winfrey.
