The Sandy relief bill is loaded with money not intended for the desperate folks in New York and New Jersey.
For example, $28 billion for “future disaster mitigation projects,” $17 billion for “community development block grants,”” $150 million for fisheries in Alaska, $8 million to purchase cars for Homeland Security and the list goes on.
Had this been a “clean bill,” both sides would have passed it, but more than a third is going to projects that have nothing to do with Sandy – disgraceful.
