Busy Bandits In Robbery Pattern

Two men who allegedly held up a bodega at gunpoint in Woodside last month have been connected to a pattern of 15 armed robberies of stores across southern Queens, police reported. Law enforcement sources said the Woodside heist occurred at 8:06 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2012 at a grocery store located at 70-11 45th Ave. Reportedly, the two perpetrators- described as Hispanic or black males-entered the location. While one suspect displayed a firearm, police said, the other removed cash and property. After obtaining the items, the pair fled from the scene in an unknown direction. Through an ongoing investigation, detectives linked the duo to 14 similar stickups of businesses ranging from gas stations to drug stores across the confines of the 103rd, 107th, 105th and 113th precincts in southeastern Queens. The gun-toting suspect has been observed wearing dark clothing, a partial mask, gloves and a New York Yankees baseball cap. Police said his accomplice has been seen wearing a black face mask, a black leather jacket, dark clothing and a black skull cap.
