The annual holiday toy drive held by the Queens District Attorney’s office was once again a success, as more than 365 toys were collected and distributed, Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown announced. The toys were sent by Brown’s office to The Church of the Nazarene and the Lawrence Nursing Home Facility, both in Far Rockaway, as well as the SCO Family of Services in Jamaica and the Cambria Heights Community Church. Books collected during the drive were also donated to the Far Rockaway branch of the Queens Borough Public Library. Brown is pictured at his Kew Gardens office surrounded by some of the toys collected.
