Seniors at the Maspeth Self-Help Senior Center recently teamed up with youngsters of the I.S. 73 Builders’ Club in Maspeth to create dolls for patients at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children in Bayside. As noted, the center and club-which are supported by the Kiwanis Club of Maspeth-took weeks to create the dolls. The dolls were then included in a basket gift by seniors and Kiwanians during the center’s monthly party. Among those shown with the basket of dolls is Maspeth Kiwanis Club President Joan Sammon (back row, third from left).
