Firefighters rushed to a home in Glendale that caught fire early last Friday morning, Jan. 25, leaving one man seriously injured, it was reported. According to FDNY sources, the one-alarm blaze broke out at around 1:40 a.m. on the second-floor of a residence on 67th Place near Myrtle Avenue. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 286, 319, 277 and 291; Ladder companies 135, 112, 140 and 124; Squad Co. 252; Rescue 2 and Battalions 28 and 37-under the direction of Division 14-along with the 104th Precinct and EMS units. The injured male was rushed to a local hospital in serious condition after suffering smoke inhalation. Two hose lines were used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control, an FDNY source said.
