More Weekend Svc. Disruptions On J Line
J train service is scheduled to be suspended between Crescent Street in Brooklyn and Jamaica Center in Queens this weekend, from 5:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 until 10 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3. This service change will be in effect every weekend through Sunday, Feb. 24.
During this period, J trains will only operate between Crescent Street and Chambers Street. Shuttle buses will provide alternate service, making stops at all J train stations between Crescent Street and 121st Street, and connect to the Jamaica-Van Wyck station on the E line.
Riders can transfer between the shuttle buses and the J train at Crescent Street. For service to the Sutphin Boulevard-Archer Avenue and Jamaica Center stations, transfer from the shuttle bus to the E train at Jamaica Van Wyck.
The shuttle buses will stop as follows:
– Crescent Street-on Fulton Street at Crescent Street;
– Cypress Hills-at the B13 stop on Jamaica Avenue at Hemlock Street (to Jamaica-Van Wyck) or on Crescent Street at Jamaica Avenue (to Crescent Street station);
– 75th Street-Elderts Lane-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 75th Street (to Jamaica-Van Wyck) or at Dexter Court (to Crescent Street);
– 85th Street-Forest Parkway-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 85th Street (to Jamaica-Van Wyck) or 86th Street (to Crescent Street);
– Woodhaven Boulevard-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at Woodhaven Boulevard;
– 104th Street-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 104th Street;
– 111th Street-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 111th Street;
– 121st Street-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 121st Street; and
– Jamaica-Van Wyck-on the Van Wyck Expressway service road at 89th Avenue.
No Weekend 7 Train Bet. Qns., Manhattan
There will be no service on the 7 line between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square-42nd Street this weekend, from 11:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, until 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4. This service change will be in effect every weekend through Monday, Mar. 25.
During this period, 7 trains will only operate between Queensboro Plaza and Flushing-Main Street. As an alternate, the Q train will be extended from 57th Street in Manhattan to Astoria Ditmars Boulevard on Saturdays from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.
For service between Queens and Manhattan, transfer from the 7 train to the N or Q trains at Queensboro Plaza or Times Square-42nd Street or the E train at the Roosevelt Avenue, Court Square-23rd Street or 42nd Street- Port Authority stations.
Shuttle buses will replace 7 train service at stations in Long Island City between Queensboro Plaza and Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue. These buses will additionally stop at Queens Plaza for connections to the E or R trains.
The shuttle buses will stop as follows:
– Queensboro Plaza-on Queens Plaza South at 27th Street;
– Queens Plaza-on Jackson Avenue at Queens Plaza South;
– Court Square-23rd Street-on 44th Drive at 23rd Street (to Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue) or on 23rd Street at 44th Drive (to Queensboro Plaza);
– Hunters Point Avenue-on 21st Street at 49th Avenue; and
– Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue- on Vernon Boulevard at 50th Avenue.

Additional Changes On Subway Lines
The MTA has scheduled a number of service changes for several subway lines throughout the city due to construction work.
These service advisories are current as of Wednesday, Jan. 30. Last minute changes to service and operating schedules may be made due to weather-related conditions or emergency repairs. Check www.mta.info for schedule changes.
Rail lines which run through the area that will be affected include the following:
Switch Of Lines For F Train This Weekend
Manhattan-bound F trains will run on the M line between 47th-50th Streets and Roosevelt Avenue this weekend, from 11:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, until 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4. These trains, however, will run express between Queens Plaza and Roosevelt Avenue.
This service change will also be in effect late nights on Monday, Feb. 4, through Friday, Feb. 8, from 11:45 p.m. until 5 a.m.
As a result of this service change, there will be no Manhattan-bound F train service at the 21st Street- Queensbridge, Roosevelt Island, Lexington Avenue-63rd Street or 57th Street stations.
For service to these stations, take the F train to 47th-50th Streets, then transfer to a Jamaica-bound F train. For service from 21st Street-Queensbridge and Roosevelt Island, take the F train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound F train.
E Train Becomes Overnight Express
Jamaica Center-bound E trains will run express service between Queens Plaza and Roosevelt Island late nights on Tuesday, Feb. 5, through Friday, Feb. 8, from 12:15 to 5 a.m.
For service to the 36th Street, Steinway Street, 46th Street, Northern Boulevard and 65th Street stations, take the E train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound E train. For service from these stations, take the E train to Queens Plaza, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound E train.
N Trains Skip Stops In Astoria Weekdays
Astoria-bound N trains will skip the 39th Avenue, 36th Avenue, Broadway and 30th Avenue stations on Thursday, Jan. 31, and Friday, Feb. 1, from 10:15 a.m. until 3 p.m.
During this period, there will be no Q train service between 57th Street- Seventh Avenue in Manhattan and Ditmars Boulevard in Astoria.
For service to the skipped N train stations, take the N train to Astoria Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan bound N train. For service from these stations, take the N train to Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to an Astoria-bound N train.
‘Fastrack’ Repairs Affect N, Q, R Lines
The MTA’s “Fastrack” maintenance program will result in disruptions on the N, Q and R line in Manhattan late nights on Thursday, Jan. 31, and Friday, Feb. 1, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
During this period, N trains will operate in two sections-between Queensboro Plaza and Ditmars Boulevard in Queens and between Jay Street-MetroTech and Stillwell Avenue in Brooklyn. Q trains will run normal between Stillwell Avenue and DeKalb Avenue, then switch over to the D line between DeKalb Avenue and 47th-50th Streets, and then run on the F line between 47th-50th Streets and 57th Street.
R trains, meanwhile, will only operate between 36th Street and 95th Street in Brooklyn on Thursday.
Riders are advised to take the 7 train for alternate service between Queens and Manhattan or the 2, 4, D and Q trains for service between Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Knick. Ave M Stop Closed For Repairs
The Knickerbocker Avenue station on the M line remains closed at all times until March as the MTA conducts repairs.
Riders are advised to use the nearby Central Avenue and Myrtle- Wyckoff Avenues stations as alternates. The B54 bus provides connecting service between Knickerbocker Avenue and the two stations.
During overnight hours, shuttle buses will provide additional service along the B54 route between Myrtle- Wyckoff Avenues and Myrtle Avenue- Broadway, stopping at the Knickerbocker Avenue and Central Avenue stations.
Sandy-Related Svc. Changes Remain
Until further notice, there is no service on the A line south of the Howard Beach station to the Rockaways and on the Rockaway Park Shuttle.
Riders can use a free shuttle bus between Howard Beach and Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue. There is also a free H train shuttle operating between
Far Rockaway and Beach 90th Street. Stations west of Beach 90th Street remain closed.
The H train operates on weekdays from 4:55 a.m. to 9:25 p.m. and on weekends from 4:30 a.m. until 12:30 a.m. The change in times is in order to accommodate ongoing work along the line to restore full service in the Rockaways.
For service between Beach 90th Street and Rockaway Park-Beach 116th Streets, transfer to the Q22 bus line, which makes nearby stops.
The MTA has expanded service on the Q52 limited line between Woodside and the Rockaways in order to increase rush-hour access to the A train in Ozone Park.
Reportedly, service time has been doubled during peak rush hours on the Q52, which terminates in the Arverne section of the Rockaways. Q52 buses will run ever six minutes during peak rush hours and every 7 1/2 minutes during non-rush hour periods on weekdays.
