Trucks & Cars Collide on the L.i.e.

Two people were injured after a pair of cars collided with two trucks on the westbound Long Island Expressway near College Point Boulevard in Flushing Meadows- Corona Park last Saturday morning, Jan. 19, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the accident occurred at around 1:20 a.m., causing the trucks to be overturned. Responding to the scene were members of Engine companies 273 and 324, Ladder companies 129 and 152, Rescue 4, Battalion 52, the 110th Precinct, NYPD Emergency Services Unit 10, Highway Patrol Unit 3 and EMS units. The victims were brought to a local hospital for injuries which were not considered life-threatening.
