Showing Their Love for Local Vets

Members of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 32 joined Assemblyman Mike Miller at the St. Albans VA Day Rehab Program and the NYS Veterans Nursing home on Valentine’s Day last Thursday, Feb. 14, to distribute gifts to veterans being cared for at both facilities. As noted, the giveaway was part of Miller’s “Valentines for Veterans” program, in which hundreds of sugar-free snacks, toiletries and other supplies were donated to the lawmaker’s office by the public. The care packages for the veterans included hand-made Valentine’s Day cards created by schoolchildren from area parochial and private schools. Miller thanked all who participated in the drive, which served as a gesture of gratitude to those who served in defense of the nation in years past. Miller is pictured along with VVA Chapter 32’s Paul Feddern, Nick Cataldo, Ray Ohrablo, Ed Gayaliero and Mike Daughtry and members of the St. Albans VA Hospital, among other volunteers.
