Home Invaders Rob Maspeth Woman
Claiming to be delivering flowers, three gun-toting thieves tricked an elderly woman into opening the door of her Maspeth home on Valentine’s Day, Thursday, Feb 14, then forced their way inside and robbed her, according to police.
Reportedly, the home invasion took place at around 9:30 p.m. last Thursday night at a multi-family dwelling located on 62nd Avenue near 60th Street.
Law enforcement sources said the perpetrators-described as Hispanic males believed to be 25 years of age who were observed wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and ski masks- knocked on the door of the home of a 72-year-old woman.
According to information obtained by police, one of the suspects spoke to the victim through the door and claimed to have a delivery of flowers.
