The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance with identifying and apprehending the following suspect wanted in connection with three burglaries in Astoria and Long Island City. The first incident in the pattern took place at 3 a.m. on Dec. 24, 2012 at the Rite Aid at 47-07 Broadway in Long Island City. The suspect cut a hole in the roof of the pharmacy, but did not enter the location. Two hours later, he cut a hole in the roof of a deli at 48-16 Broadway, just a few blocks away, entered inside and took cash and merchandise before fleeing. Then on Monday, Dec. 31, the suspect entered a deli at 53-11 Broadway through the roof and took merchanside before leaving the scene. The suspect is described as an African-American male standing 5’7″ to 5’11” tall; he was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt with a “G-Unit” logo on the front, white and orange Air Max Nike sneakers and dark colored jeans.
