Flames Gut Home In Cypress Hills

Firefighters are shown cutting through debris inside a Cypress Hills home that caught fire last Tuesday morning, Feb. 26, it was reported. According to Fire Department sources, the one-alarm blaze broke out at around 11 a.m. inside the top floors of a threestory home at the corner of Arlington Avenue and Cleveland Street. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 236, 225, 332, 290 and 333; Ladder companies 175, 120, 112 and 175; Squad Co. 252; Rescue 2 and Battalions 44 and 39-under the direction of Division 15-along with the 75th Precinct and EMS units. There were no reported injuries. Three hose lines were used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control, said an FDNY source.
