GLENDALE — A wayward driver allegedly plowed a minivan through the wall of a three-story brick building on 82nd Avenue Sunday, a Fire Department spokesman said.
About 60 of the city’s Bravest responded to the scene, near the corner of Myrtle Avenue, at about 1:30 p.m., according to the FDNY.
The vehicle, after coming to rest partially inside of the first floor, burst into flames, the spokesman said.
Those flames then spread to a first-floor office, though firefighters had the blaze and the scene under control in about an hour, according to the FDNY.
The city Department of Buildings was called in to assess the stability of the structure, the FDNY said.
