A nor’easter that will bring rain, snow and windy conditions to the New York City area is expected to hit Wednesday.

But forecasters are not sure how bad the storm will be.

Depending on which track the nor’easter takes, the city could get a mix of precipitation and wind, or several inches of snow and over a foot in areas north or west of the city, reported NBC New York.

In Queens, the rain should start falling in the late afternoon Wednesday, followed by snow after 9 p.m., with wind gusts as high as 37 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

As temperatures rise during the daytime Thursday, there will be a mix of rain and snow with strong winds.

These conditions should continue until Friday afternoon.

There is also a coastal flood watch for northern Queens during the Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning high tide cycles.
