Three people were reportedly injured after a school bus collided with a taxi cab on the Grand Central Parkway in Astoria on Monday morning, Mar. 18. Sources said the accident occurred at around 6:30 a.m. on the parkway’s westbound lanes near the 31st Avenue exit, a short distance from the RFK (Triborough) Bridge. Numerous Police and Fire Department units responded to the scene. The injured were rushed to local hospitals for treatment; none of the injuries appeared to be lifethreatening. All three of the parkway’s westbound lanes were closed as a result of the crash, tying up traffic heading to the bridge.
