Allergic to Salad, an organization devoted to changing the minds of children who refuse to eat greens, will be hosting a series of free cooking classes for children of ages 5-12.
At this cooking class, students will be taught by a chef how to prepare a healthy, spring dish which they will feed their families at a restaurant-style table. They will also take a tour of the restaurant’s kitchen.
For a week after the children visit, the restaurant will serve appetizers inspired by the students, putting 100 percent of the sales toward raising funds for more free cooking classes.
The class will be held April 27 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Vesta Trattoria Restaurant, at 21-02 30th Ave., in Manhattan.
