Asks for Time, Steals Backpack

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual wanted for a robbery that took place Mar. 16. at approximately 3:15 a.m. in front of a location on 40th Street in Sunnyside, within the confines of the 108th Precinct. The suspect approached the victim, asked him for the time, punched him and then removed his bag. The suspect, who was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, fled on foot. Anyone with any information regarding the incident or the suspect’s whereabouts that could prove helpful is asked to contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-577-TIPS, by text message to 274637 (enter information, then the code “TIP577”), or online at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
