A 6-month-old girl was found unconscious and later died in Rego Park Monday night, authorities said.
Police said the girl was with her family when she was reported unconscious in an apartment building on Queens Boulevard near 62nd Street just before 10:30 p.m.
The baby, whose identity was not released, was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital Center where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death and police said the investigation was ongoing.
