Celebrating 50 years of educating young minds in Middle Village, Christ the King Regional High School marked its golden jubilee last Friday, Apr. 19, with a gala dinner-dance at El Caribe in Brooklyn. The festivities were part of a weekend of events celebrating Christ the King’s 50th anniversary, including the school’s production of the Broadway musical Beauty and the Beast and a special Mass on Sunday, Apr. 21. During last Friday’s gala, the school inducted several new members into its Hall of Fame, including Dr. Antoinette Collarini Schlossburg (Class of 1968), faculty honoree Carol Hynes, Anthony Giovannello (Class of 1973), Br. John Hermann, Joseph Mastrogiovani (Class of 1973) and Eugene Schatz. They are pictured along with Christ the King administrators and board of trustees members, including Chairman Serphin R. Maltese, Vice Chairman Robert Normandia, President Michael Michel, Principal Peter J. Mannarino, Counsel Anthony Como, Financial Advisor Arthur Spanarkel, Board Executive Assistant Dolores St. Louis, Francine Scuderi of Alumni Development and Trustees James and Robert Donaldson, Bernard G. Helldorfer and Msgr. Nicholas Sivillo.
