No injuries were reported after a fire scorched the basement of a Glendale home last Friday night, Apr. 12, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the one-alarm blaze broke out at around 8:30 p.m. at an apartment house on 66th Street near Myrtle Avenue. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 286, 319, 291 and 277; Ladder companies 135, 140 and 112; Squad Co. 252; Rescue 4 and Battalions 28 and 37-under the direction of Division 14-along with the 104th Precinct and EMS units. One hose line was used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control, an FDNY source said.
