The history of a well-known Jamaica residence will be featured at an upcoming event.
The King Manor Museum is the only historic house museum in southeast Queens, using public knowledge of Rufus King and his family to showcase portraits and teach people the history behind them.
On April 20 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. for $5, artist Hannah Barrett will go portrait to portrait and explain the people in the them as well as the history and why they were painted.
Barrett will tell the story of the family’s well-known history as well as some facts that are unknown by the public.
The event will be at King Manor Museum, at 150-03 Jamaica Ave.
