Police find man’s body on Astoria street

ASTORIA — A man was found dead in front of 11-48 Welling Court, close to where he lived Wednesday, police said.

An unknown person placed a 911 call to police at about 5 a.m. and cops said they found 34-year-old Alberto Aguilar-Garcia unconscious and unresponsive. Emergency responders later pronounced him dead.

The cause of Aguilar-Garcia’s death was not immediately known, police said.
