Activists and fast food workers turned out in front of the Kentucky Fried Chicken on the corner of Myrtle Avenue and Palmetto Street near the Ridgewood/Bushwick border in Brooklyn to protest wage violations at fast food restaurants last Thursday, May 16. Organizers claimed fast food chains make employees work off the clock or for no overtime pay. The protest was organized by labor advocate groups NY Communities for Change and United NY.
