High Schoolers Win NYPD Essay Contest Three students from Christ the King Regional High School in Middle Village were chosen as winners of the Police Athletic League’s annual “Police Commissioner for a Day” essay contest. As noted, Ashley Biondo, Dominik Makocki and Krystale Salvati will be paired with members of the Police Department’s executive corps, borough and precinct commanders for a day to learn more about the city’s law enforcement efforts.
