The NYPD is looking for a suspect who allegedly grabbed a woman, threw her to the ground and attempted to rape her.
Friday morning at 4:45 a.m., the 23-year-old victim was followed from a bus stop within the confines of the 107th Precinct. The suspect then grabbed her by the throat, shoved her to the ground and punched her in the head, police said.
The suspect allegedly attempted to rape the Asian woman, but fled when a witness heard the victim’s screams for help. The witness yelled to the attacker that he had called 9-1-1, according to police.
The suspect is described as a white male with light complexion, 20 to 30 years old, 5 foot 5 inches to 5 foot 8 inches, 150 to 170 pounds with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and dark jeans.
