Accused Of Attacking His Live-In Girlfriend

A Middle Village man was collared by police early last Friday morning, Jan. 3, for allegedly assaulting and attempting to rape his girlfriend in their home, it was reported.

Law enforcement sources identified the suspect as 27-year-old Vladimir Sabol.

Reportedly, the assault occurred at around 2 a.m. at the Middle Village home Sabol shares with his 27-yearold girlfriend. The exact location was withheld by prosecutors.

According to information provided by the Queens District Attorney’s office, Sabol entered the residence, confronted his girlfriend and demanded to have relations.

When he declined, authorities stated, Sabol allegedly went on the attack, grabbing his girlfriend by the neck and throwing her to the ground. He reportedly got on top of the victim, punched and slapped her repeatedly, then grabbed her breasts and vagina.

Police said the victim managed to fight Sabol off and ran out of the residence. Reportedly, Sabol followed her from behind and grabbed her hair.

Officers from the 104th Precinct arrived at the location seconds later. The victim suffered minor injuries.

Following questioning, Sabol was taken into custody by P.O. Kenneth Frevola of the 104th Precinct and charged with first-degree sexual abuse, third-degree attempted rape, third-degree assault and harassment.

According to court records, was arraigned the following day- Saturday, Jan. 4-in Queens Criminal Court before Judge Deborah Stevens-Modica and ordered held on $7,500 bail.

He is scheduled to return to court on Jan. 17.
