Cops looking for suspect in Astoria wine store robbery

A man held up an Astoria wine store at gunpoint last week, taking $800 before escaping on foot, police said.

The robbery occurred about 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17 inside of Doctor’s Wine & Spirits, at 46-16 Ditmars Blvd., according to the NYPD.

The suspect approached the 50-year-old store clerk, displayed a gun and stole the cash, then fled, cops said. There were no reported injuries.

Police describe the suspect as 6 feet 2 inches tall and with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a grey or blue hooded sweatshirt, and a black ski mask.
