Aishah Mowla, a Forest Hills High School graduate and former Access for Young Women (AFYW) participant at the Queens Community House, recently received a $20,000 scholarship to begin studying at Saint Catherine’s University this spring. Mowla plans to study American Sign Language, which she has studied for three years in high school.
