Ski-mask wearing suspect stole $550 at 99 cent store: NYPD

SOUTH JAMAICA — Police were trying to identify a suspect wanted in an armed robbery in the 103rd Precinct last month, authorities said.

The NYPD said the suspect allegedly wore a ski mask and had a gun with him when he got out of a dark-colored SUV and entered Mario’s 99 Cent Store, at 108-10 Guy R. Brewer Blvd. in Jamaica, around 5:35 a.m. Jan. 29.

The suspect allegedly ordered the store employee to the ground and took his wallet, containing $500, as well as $50 from the store’s counter before fleeing, according to police. No injuries were reported, police said.
