Looking like a scene out of a disaster movie, flames ripped through an unoccupied area of Spring Creek Park in Howard Beach during a three-alarm brush fire last Saturday afternoon, Mar. 15. Reportedly, the inferno ignited at about 4:20 p.m. in the vicinity of 83rd Street and 163rd Avenue. More than 30 Fire Department units rushed to the location along with the 106th Precinct and EMS units. There were no reported injuries.
