Bravest battle third-alarm blaze in Lindenwood: FDNY

LINDENWOOD — About 105 firefighters responded to a brush fire near 76-08 156th Ave. in Lindenwood Saturday evening, the FDNY said.

The Fire Department said it dispatched 25 units after receiving a call about the fire around 4:20 p.m.

The blaze encompassed a roughly 2,000 by 1,000 foot area and was elevated to a third-alarm fire, the department said.

Firefighters said it took roughly two hours to put out the blaze.
