FRANK NEVAREZ of Maspeth died on Tuesday, March 4, at the age of 49.
He was the beloved husband of Eileen, devoted uncle of Stewart, Peter, Sarah,
Christopher, Tiffany, Matthew, P.J., Kyla, Jake, Daminan, Nikki Lee, Ray Ray,
Giovanni, Jose, Estell, Natasha and Felix and dear brother of Maria, Carmen,
Delores and Cecilia. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Stanislaus
Church, Maspeth, followed by interment at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village,
under the direction of Hess-Miller Funeral Home, 64-19 Metropolitan Ave.,
Middle Village.

BENEDITA CALVARUSO of Glendale died on Wednesday, March 5, at the
age of 82. She was the wife of the late Domenico Calvaruso and devoted
mother of Vitina, Maria and Gina. She is also survived by three grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Pancras Church, Glendale,
followed by interment at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village, under the
direction of George Werst Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper Ave., Glendale.

MARIA TSCHINKEL of Ridgewood died on Monday, March 3, at the age
of 92. A native of Masereben, Gottschee, Yugoslavia, she was the wife of the
late Ferdinand and devoted mother of Alfred Tschinkel and Ferdinand
Tschinkel. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Aloysius Church,
Ridgewood, followed by interment at Linden Hill Cemetery, Ridgewood,
under the direction of Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663

EDUARDO VIERA JR. of Brooklyn died on Saturday, March 8, at the age
of 73. A native of Puerto Rico, he was the husband of the late Ana Blena
Mohler, devoted father of Carmen Santiago, Eduardo Viera, David Viera,
Milagros Valesquez, John Valesquez and Doris Vega and dear brother of Luz
Maria Viera. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Brigid Church,
Brooklyn, followed by interment at Rosehill Cemetery, Linden, N.J., under
the direction of Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview
Ave., Ridgewood.

CHARLOTTE BACH of Glendale died on Thursday, February 20, at the age
of 72. She was the wife of the late Walter Bach, devoted mother of Melinda
Bach and Melissa Hosmer and dear sister-in-law of Eleanor. She is also
survived by three grandchildren and many family members. Services were
offered at graveside at Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens, under the
direction of George Werst Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper Ave., Glendale.

LYDIA LOVISA died on Thursday, February 27, in New Milford, Conn. at
the age of 89. She was the wife of the late Raymond Lovisa, loving mother of
Gloria Wickline, Diane Iovino and the late Patricia Lovisa, cherished
grandmother of Kenneth, Patricia, Jessica and Kelly and great-grandmother of
Nicole and Stephanie. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Wednesday,
March 5, at St. Mary’s Church, Woodside, followed by interment at Calvary

89. A native of Obern, Gottschee, Austria, she was the wife of the late Frank,
devoted mother of Frank W. Samide and dear sister-in-law of Brigitte Hiris,
William Hiris and Lillian Hiris. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St.
Matthias Church, Ridgewood, followed by interment at Cypress Hills

at the age of 70. A native of Urlati, Romania, he was the beloved husband of

at the age of 79. A native of Brooklyn, he was the beloved husband of Mary.
