Man wanted in rash of bank robberies: Cops

FLUSHING — Police were looking for a man they said robbed seven banks scattered throughout the city since January.

The suspect’s most recent known robbery was at the Flushing Savings Bank on Roosevelt Avenue, police said.

As he had done in the six other cases, the man entered the bank and demanded cash from the teller before fleeing with an undetermined amount of money, police said.

Police described the suspect as black, 25 years old, 5-foot-9 and weighing 160 pounds.
