A man was arrested after he attacked three women with a hammer inside their Astoria apartment during a robbery last weekend.
Lawrence Parsons, 29, was arraigned Wednesday in connection to the brutal beating on attempted murder, assault, burglary and robbery charges, according to the criminal complaint.
He is accused of breaking into the victims’ home about 2:40 a.m. Sunday, then striking each of them on the face and head with a hammer.
After the beatings, Lawrence allegedly fled the apartment with a stolen cell phone, laptop, iPad. Surveillance video shows him running out of the building with the loot, court documents said. He was caught with the items when he was arrested.
The three women, who are all related, were taken to local hospitals in critical condition with several facial and skull fractures, according to court records. One victim loss sight in her left eye.
