Cop Lands In Jail for Downloading Kid Porn

Gets Cuffed At Ozone Park Home

Detectives collared a police officer from Ozone Park last week who allegedly downloaded child pornography on his home computer, it was reported.

Law enforcement sources identify the suspect as P.O. Yong-Fa Wu, 34, who remains in custody on $50,000 bail and suspended without pay.

According to information provided by the Queens District Attorney’s office, Wu’s home was raided early last Monday morning, Apr. 28, as part of an ongoing investigation.

On Apr. 1, law enforcement agents tracked a peer-to-peer Internet network in which several individuals-one of whom was allegedly Wu-shared 60 files containing explicit images of children.

Reportedly, one of the videos showed a girl between 11 and 13 years of age engaging in sex with an adult male.

Based on information obtained during the investigation, police linked the videos to Wu’s IP address, leading detectives to obtain a search warrant for the officers home.

In executing the search last Monday, police recovered a desktop computer which contained five pornographic videos involving minors.

Wu was taken into custody by Sgt. John Kenna of the NYPD Queens District Attorney’s Detective Bureau on seven counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child and seven counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child.

During an arraignment hearing in Queens Criminal Court last Monday, Judge David Hawkins ordered Wu held on $50,000 bail and to return to court on May 15.
