Becomes Women’s Hoops Health Care Partner
Fidelis Care, a statewide health plan with more than one million members, and the New York Liberty have announced a new marketing partnership that makes Fidelis Care the Official Health Plan Partner of the Liberty for the 2014 season. The marketing partnership is part of Fidelis Care’s commitment to community outreach and expanding awareness of the availability of quality, affordable health coverage for children, adults, and families.
“Fidelis Care is proud to cheer on the New York Liberty as they return to Madison Square Garden this season,” said Fidelis Care Chief Marketing Officer Pamela Hassen. “On the court, this team is committed to winning, and off the court, they are committed to having a strong and visible grassroots presence. The Liberty shares our goal of making a difference in the communities we serve.”
“We are excited to welcome Fidelis Care as the Official Health Plan Partner for the Liberty this season,” said Dave Howard, president of MSG Sports. “This partnership will provide great brand exposure for Fidelis Care at the transformed Madison Square Garden and out in the community, where we will work together to provide free, fun and engaging events for fans throughout the season.”
As part of the partnership, Fidelis Care and the Liberty plan to partner on a number of health initiatives and community events throughout the spring and summer. In addition, Fidelis Care will receive brand exposure during Liberty home games at Madison Square Garden, including promotion on digital signage, and Fidelis Care representatives will be available in the Madison Concourse (6th Floor) at every game, offering information about health insurance options and helping eligible residents apply for enrollment. Fidelis Care will also serve as the presenting partner of team mascot Maddie’s Birthday Celebration at the Liberty game on June 29 against the Connecticut Sun.
New York opens regular season action against Connecticut on Friday, May 16 at 7 p.m. at Mohegan Sun Arena. The Liberty will then make their long awaited return to the transformed Madison Square Garden to host Chicago on Opening Night on Saturday, May 17, at 8 p.m., live on ESPN2.
