Residents young and old rolled up their sleeves and spruced up the Glendale Community Garden last Saturday morning, Apr. 26. Among the volunteers were members of the Kiwanis Club of Glendale and the P.S./I.S. 113 Builders’ Club, who cleaned and planted seeds for the growing season at the garden located on 88th Street near 74th Avenue. The event also included a safety fair in which the 104th Precinct and the NYPD Community Affairs Queens Outreach Unit registered VIN numbers, cell phones and electronic devices to guard against theft.
