SOUTH OZONE PARK — Police were searching for a group of men who are believed to have robbed a man in front of a deli in South Ozone Park earlier this month.
The NYPD said one of the suspects approached a 49-year-old man on Rockaway Boulevard around 2:05 a.m. May 5 and demanded that he give them money.
The men allegedly took the victim’s cellphone and $400 and the man was then assaulted by three other suspects before they fled the scene, police said.
The 49-year-old victim suffered injuries to his head and face, according to the NYPD.
The suspects are described as black men between the ages of 18 and 25.
