Midville Pastor Receives a Higher Calling

Hundreds of faithful parishioners packed Middle Village’s Community United Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon, June 15, to celebrate the ordination of Pastor Delores M. Barrett as elder in full connection and appointment. The ceremony featured performances by spiritual dancers and singers and remarks by Rev. Dr. Cecil B. Stone, pastor of Springfield Gardens United Methodist Church and Hanson Place Central United Methodist Church. Reverend Barrett is among those pictured with congregants above.
