Seek Suspects In Woodhaven Attack
Two teenagers assaulted a woman for her iPhone during a mugging on a Woodhaven street last Saturday afternoon, June 14, police reported.
Law enforcement sources said the robbery occurred at about 5:30 p.m. along 81st Street.
According to authorities, the perpetrators-described as black males believed to be 16 years old, standing between 5’6″- and 5’7″- tall-approached the 27-year-old woman, displayed a gun and demanded her iPhone.
When the victim refused to comply with their request, it was reported, one of the crooks punched her in the face, then removed the phone. Seconds later, authorities said, they fled from the scene in an unknown direction.
The incident was reported to the 102nd Precinct; the victim suffered minor injuries.
Police said one of the suspects wore a white and blue shirt, while his partner was last seen wearing a red shirt.
An investigation is ongoing.
