Cops Find Stolen Loot After Caper

Police released the images of two men accused of breaking into Rego Park businesses early last Wednesday morning, May 28.

The suspects wanted for two burglaries in Rego Park last Wednesday morning, May 28.

Both suspects were described by law enforcement sources as white males between 17 and 20 years of age, standing between 5’8″- and 5’11”-tall and wearing light-colored t-shirts.

Reportedly, the crooks first made their way into a dental office located at 94-24 63rd Dr. at about 2:52 a.m. last Wednesday. Despite searching the office, authorities said, the perpetrators fled from the scene empty-handed.

About a half-hour later, police noted, the burglars entered the Petland Discounts shop at 94-18 63rd Dr. Once inside the establishment, they reportedly removed birds and bird cages, then fled from the scene in an unknown direction.

Law enforcement sources said the birds and cages were later recovered by police.

Both burglaries were reported to the 112th Precinct, and an investigation by the 112th Precinct Detective Squad is ongoing.
