The NYPD released the image and sketch of a man who allegedly assaulted and robbed a 90-year-old man inside a Woodside supermarket parking lot last Friday morning, July 18. Reportedly, the incident occurred at 10:45 a.m. in the Stop and Shop supermarket lot located at 34-51 48th St. Law enforcement sources said the perpetrator-a black male in his 30s with braided hair-grabbed the victim by the neck and demanded his wallet. Reportedly, the crook also demanded the PIN number to the victim’s bank card, then ordered the man to drive him to two locations, removing sums of cash each time. The robbery was later reported to the 114th Precinct; the victim did not suffer serious injuries. Anyone with information regarding the robbery or the suspect’s whereabouts that could prove helpful is asked to contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-577-TIPS; all calls and messages will be kept confidential.
