More Disruptions Affect The 7 Line

There will be no 7 train service between Times Square-42nd Street and Queensboro Plaza this weekend, from 2 a.m. Saturday, July 19, until 4:30 a.m. Monday, July 21. Service on the 7 line will operate normally between Queensboro Plaza and Main Street-Flushing.

As alternate service, Q trains will be extended from 57th Street in Manhattan to Ditmars Boulevard in Astoria on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m .

For service to and from Queens and Manhattan, transfer to the N or Q train at Queensboro Plaza or Times Square-42nd Street or the E or F train at 74th Street.

Free shuttle buses will replace 7 train service in Long Island City between Queensboro Plaza and Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue. These buses will stop at Queens Plaza for ADA-access to the E train.

The shuttle buses will stop as follows:

– Queensboro Plaza-on Queens Plaza South at 27th Street;

– Queens Plaza-on 42nd Road at Jackson Avenue;

– Court Square-23rd Street-on Jackson Avenue at 45th Avenue (to Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue) or at Thomson Avenue (to Queensboro Plaza);

– Hunters Point Avenue-on 21st Street at 49th Avenue; and

– Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue-on Vernon Boulevard at 50th Avenue.

Furthermore, 7 trains will skip the Junction Boulevard station from 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, until 5 am. Wednesday, July 16. For service to and from this station, transfer between the 7 train and free shuttle buses at the 90th Street and 103rd Street stations.

Fastrack Program Affects E, F, M, R

The MTA’s Fastrack maintenance and repair program will hit the E, F, M and R lines in western Queens and Manhattan on Monday, July 21, through Friday, July 25, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.

E train service will be suspended between Roosevelt Avenue and World Trade Center and F trains will not operate between Roosevelt Avenue and 21st Street-Queensbridge. E trains will run local service between Roosevelt Avenue and Parsons/Archer, while F trains will instead run in two sections: between Roosevelt Avenue and 179th Street and between 21st Street- Queensbridge and Stillwell Avenue.

Additionally, service on the M line between Essex Street and 71st- Continental Avenues and the R line between Whitehall Street and 71st- Continental Avenues will end early on Monday through Thursday. M trains will continue to run between Essex Street and Metropolitan Avenue- Middle Village.

The last Middle Village-bound M train will leave 71st-Continental Avenues at 8:13 p.m., while the last Forest Hills-bound M train will leave Metropolitan Avenue at 8:08 p.m. The last Queens-bound R train will leave Whitehall Street at 8:34 p.m., and the last Manhattan-bound R train will depart 71st-Continental Avenues at 9:33 p.m.

Free shuttle buses will provide alternate subway service between Roosevelt Avenue and Queensboro Plaza, making all local stops.

For service between Queens and Manhattan, transfer to the 7 train at Queensboro Plaza or 74th Street- Roosevelt Avenue.

Weekday Service

Split On The L Line

L trains will operate in two sections-between Eighth Avenue and Broadway Junction and between Broadway Junction and Canarsie- Rockaway Parkway-Thursday, July 17, Friday, July 18, and Monday, July 21, through Friday, July 25, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Riders can transfer between L trains at Broadway Junction to continue their trip.

Additionally, L trains running between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Parkway will operate every 24 minutes. Riders are advised to plan their trips accordingly.

Late Night Local Svc. For F Line In W. Qns.

Manhattan-bound F trains will run local service between Roosevelt Avenue and 21st Street-Queensbridge on Friday, July 18, from 12:01 until 5 a.m. Additionally, Jamaica-bound F trains will run local service between 21st Street-Queensbridge and Roosevelt Avenue on Friday from 12:01 to 5 a.m.

These trains will stop at 65th Street, Northern Boulevard, 46th Street, Steinway Street and 36th Street.

Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.

Late Night Switches

On E Line In Queens

Jamaica Center-bound E trains will run on the F line between West Fourth Street and 21st Street- Queensbridge on Friday, July 18, from 9:30 p.m. until 5 a.m.

As a result, there will be no Jamaica Center-bound E train service at the Seventh Avenue, Fifth Avenue- 53rd Street, Lexington Avenue-53rd Street, Court Square-23rd Street and Queens Plaza stations.

For service to the Court Square- 23rd Street or Queens Plaza stops, transfer to a free shuttle bus at the 21st Street-Queensbridge station.

Switch Of Lines For F Trains To Manhattan

Manhattan-bound F trains will run on the M line between between Roosevelt Avenue and 47th-50th Streets this weekend, from 9:45 p.m. Friday, July 18, until 5 a.m. Monday, July 21. As a result, there will be no Manhattan-bound F train service at the 21st Street-Queensbridge, Roosevelt Island, Lexington Avenue- 63rd Street and 57th Street stations.

For service to 21st Street- Queensbridge or Roosevelt Island, take the F train to 47th-50th Streets, then transfer to a Jamaica-bound F train. For service from these stations, take the F train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound F train .

F Trains Will Skip

Stops This Weekend

Manhattan-bound F trains will skip the Sutphin Boulevard, Van Wyck Boulevard and 75th Avenue stations this weekend, from 11:45 p.m. Friday, July 18, until 5 a.m. Monday, July 21.

For service to these stations, take the F train to Union Turnpike or 71st- Continental Avenues, then transfer to a Jamaica-bound F train. For service from these stations, take the F train to Union Turnpike or Parsons Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound F train.

A Trains Skip Oz. Pk. Stops This Weekend

Ozone Park-bound A trains will skip the 104th Street and 111th Street stations this weekend, from 11:45 p.m. Friday, July 18, until 5 a.m. Monday, July 21.

For service to these stations, take the A train to Lefferts Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train. For service from these stations, take the Q112 bus or the A train to Rockaway Boulevard, then transfer to an Ozone Park-bound A train.

Sandy Repairs Hit G Line In August

As part of the MTA’s Fix & Fortify Hurricane Sandy repair program, G train service between Court Square and Nassau Avenue will be suspended beginning at 10:30 p.m. Friday night, July 25, and continuing through 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2. During this period, G trains will operate normally between Nassau Avenue and Church Avenue.

Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service on two routes. One shuttle bus will run along Manhattan Avenue between Nassau Avenue and Court Square, stopping near the closed G train stations. Another shuttle bus will run along McGuiness Boulevard between Court Square and the Lorimer Street G/L train station, making stops near G train stations.

Riders can transfer between the G train and the Manhattan Avenue shuttle bus at Greenpoint Avneue or the McGuiness Boulevard shuttle bus at the corner of Lorimer Street and Metropolitan Avenue.

Station Renewal Comes To A Line

The Ozone Park/Far Rockawaybound platform at the 88th Street station and the Ozone Park-bound platform at the 101st Street station on the A line remain shut through August as part of an ongoing station renewal project.

For service to the 88th Street station, take the A train to Rockaway Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train. For service to the 101st Street station, take a Lefferts Boulevard/Ozone Parkbound A train to 111th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train.

For service from these stations, take the A train to either Rockaway Boulevard or 80th Street, then transfer to an Ozone Park-bound or a Far Rockaway-bound A train.
