Van runs over owner while at gas station

SOUTH JAMAICA — A man was injured when his van ran over him while pumping gas at a South Jamaica gas station, police said. Apparently, he forgot to put the vehicle into park.

The accident occurred a little after 6:30 a.m. Monday at the Gulf station, at Merrick and Farmers boulevards.

The driver of the van was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. He suffered serious injuries to his head and neck.
