North Shore-LIJ announced this week it was selected to be the metropolitan area’s exclusive partner of the Cleveland Clinic & Vascular Institute.
The Long Island hospital will work with Cleveland Clinic in its specialty network, which aims to provide cardiac patients with new and enhanced treatment options and greater access to technology.
North Shore-LIJ was chosen for the alliance after a year-long assessment.
The healthcare facility is just the second in the country, with the MedStar Heart Institute in Washington, D.C., to become a part of the Cleveland Clinic’s alliance.
